Actually, this sign refers to the fare increase that started in May. Old TTC tickets had to be refunded instead of used in the system because their value was $2.50, not the new $2.75. Or something like that. I just giggled to myself that the old tickets on Translink always worked, and only some drivers forced you to pay up to the new fare.
