This according to January 20th InfoWorld report. 6A has not yet commented on their flagship site.
Did security concerns prompt the switch to subdomains for every LiveJournal user? »
They mention that as the last item in their announcement, but I haven't seen a response from Six Apart to this article (it's possible I missed it).
